Can anyone tell me the last trout stocking date at the Cimarron grassland ponds and the next date please. Thanks
These new rules about emptying all your water before you leave the lake are forgetting one thing, the geese don't follow the rules.
Geese and other fowl carry eggs on there feet, why couldn't they carry a mussel that holds on? I know they'll say that I don't have a degree like they do, but not letting people take their fish home in water is the craziest idea ever. Are they trying to make us all quit fishing and set up camps for illegals at our public lakes or what? The American Sportsman
I am interested in knowing how you guys are feeling about the bait law that has been implimented this year? I know us that love to fish for big cats in Region 5 are ticked off at this stupid rule. If you want to get the scoop on it read Region 5 Dock Squawk. We need to raise our voices on this.
The bait laws are plenty strict. More regulation is not the answer. Education is the answer and if the KDWPT wants to regulate then use common sense solutions. It is already illegal to transport ANS. So instead of making all wild bait illegal then maybe give a list of "legal" wild bait such as bluegill or redear perch etc. If you can't tell the difference between the white perch and a bluegill perch then maybe you shouldn't be using them for bait at all. Taking more of our freedoms away is not the answer. We all are concerned about the ANS but these big bodies of water that have them still have to release water out of their spillways and the ANS will still spread. If I want to catch a bluegill out of my farm pond and use it for catfish bait then I should be able to. Also if you are going to criticize our opinions on this blog then have enough respect for the rest of us to use something other than "anonymous" and have some sort of identity.
Catman, hunt nfish and others, Don’t come on this site and bitch about anonymity when nobody knows who catman hunt n fish ect are. When I say the bait laws are not strict enough what I mean is no one should be allowed to use uncertified disease free bait. As it is you are allowed to catch bait from the water you are fishing in and use it there. Bait that has been purchased from a certified bait dealer can be used any where, it can be transported anywhere as long as only potable water is in the bait bucket. As for keeping your fish fresh, ice was invented a long time ago. Put your fish on ice and they will be as fresh as if you got them home in your live well. Probably in better condition than in 90 degree water. to the point that you professional fishermen know the difference between a bluegill and a white perch. The law wasn’t for you it’s for those who cannot tell the difference between a shad and a silver carp both of which look very much alike when small. Keep bitchin this law is a compromise we could go with the original thought which was all bait had to come from a certified bait dealer. gadwall
Meade SFL...Any reports?? Clark SFL... LM bass on the dam, nice 14-16" fish in 8-12', with a crankbait. Fished 4 hours and caught 3 nice fish. Any catfish being caught at Clark?
Hearing at the Oct. commission meeting they are going to vote on possible " clean up " regs to the bait law changes. Possibly allowing catch and transport of 3 wild caught baits. Call and email the state, your commissioner and your local staff and let them know what you think.
The way I see it is this- if the old report ain't a hint for you not to go, I don't know what be. Or on the other hand, there could be a load of fish waiting to be caught- take your pick.

Can't the State take down or update the reports that haven't been changed for over a year?
